Brief Introduction of Kunming
As the capital of Yunnan Province, Kunming also known as the "City of Eternal Spring", is one of the most pleasant and relaxed cities in China. The city covers an area with 6200 sq. km including 4 city districts and 4 rural counties. Its proximity to other neighboring provinces such as Guizhou, Sichuan, and Tibet as well as its shared border with Myanmar, Laos, and Vietnam make it one of the most popular holiday destinations in China. Kunming boasts some of the best weather in China with a consistently pleasant climate, and is also well known for its beautiful, breathtaking and unique natural landscape in the country. It offers the traveler a wide range of things to see and do from Ming Dynasty relics to the luxuries of modern department and convenience stores. Among these dramatic options, Yunnan Stone Forest, which is about 120 km from the city proper and requires only a three-hour drive, is known best by visitors. These magnificent stone masterpieces, various strange and steep intricate formations, and countless labyrinthine vistas make Stone Forest (Shi Lin in Chinese) worthy of the fame as the 'First Wonder of the World'. Since 2007, it has been UNESCO World Heritage Sites as part of the South China Karst. We believe that excellent cuisine, shopping opportunities and an array of historical and cultural attractions in Kunming will keep everyone enjoy the duration of stay.
